Berekum-Fetentaa attempted murderer remanded for two weeks by the Berekum Circuit Court.
An attempted murderer who was arrested last Friday after he wounded a young boy of 14 years at a chasew farm at Fetentaa in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region has been put behind bars for two weeks by the BerekumCircuit court.
Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com, the assemblyman of Fetentaa electoral area after the court sittings, Hon. Emmanuel Effah explained that, the suspected murderer is not known in their town but hail from another village who entered the cashew farm of the victim's father with his sister Mathilda whiles they were picking up their cashew nuts and the suspect intruded in process for assistance.
Unfortunately for the two, the suspect begin to fight with the victim by name Raphael whiles his sister was away to call for their elder bother and in the course the suspect fought with the young boy and cut off his fingers and some part of his body and took to his heels.
The victim with his wounds rushed to the house and reported the case to the elders of Fetentaa and later rushed to St. Ambrose Hospital for treatment.
The assembly man continued that, after the victim's report, the men in the town mounted a search party to traced for the suspect who was later apprehended by some members of the town and handed him over to the Berekum police.
The suspect was arraigned before the Berekum Circuit court and was remanded to reappear on the 30th April, 2024.
The victim still at the hospital recieving treatment at the Holy Family Hospital.
