The traditional authorities of the Debibi Traditional area in the Tain District of the Bono region have enstooled Obrempong Boamako Gago II as the Omanhene of the Debibi traditional area on 2nd March, 2024.
Nana Boamako Gago II in his private life was a Senior lecturer at the University of Ghana and was known as Dr Abraham Okrah and also an elder of the Church of Pentecost.
In his acceptance speech thanked all those who supported his corenation ceremony to make him the paramount chief of the area.
He thanked the elders and people of Debibi for all their support to make the occasion a success.
He called for the progress and unity of the people to support his reign to achieve the purpose of the community.
He added that a research committee would be formed to search into the progress of agriculture for the benefit of the people as well a proper measures would be put in place to undertake mining business in the community since their land is rich in mineral resources.
He concluded that he would ensure to expansion of the standard of their health center to maintain a quality healthcare system for the people.
Among some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion included the NDC National Chairman, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nkatia, Hon. Adam Sulemana Ramzy, MP of Tain, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, MP of Banda and NPP aspiring candidate, Mr. Alexander Ababio who also doubles as the Mmrantiehene of Debibi and chairman of the occasion were all all present as well as some other traditional leaders.
