CHIRAA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL EXPRESSES APPRECIATION TO KING WILLIAMS FOR DONATING 1.5 H.P SUBMISSIVE WATER PUMP TO THE SCHOOL.

Mr. Oduro Agyekum Williams known by many in Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipal of the Bono Region as King Williams on Sunday 17th March, 2024 donated a 1.5 HP Submissive Water Pump to Chiraa Senior School to avert a serious water crisis that was to hit the school. 


His timely intervention saved the school from a serious water problem which was about to befall the entire student body in the institution. 



The main pump supplying water to the school's kitchen got damaged as a result of low voltage on Friday 15th March, 2024. The situation degenerated water crisis by Sunday morning within the very short time the incident occurred.


The school management had to cough up two thousand two hundred cedis (Ghc2,200.00) to acquire a brand new 1.5 HP Submissive Water Pump. However, by the timely intervention of Mr. Oduro Agyekum, a Chiraa born Kumasi based Electrical Engineer who was on a private visit to the Headmaster of the school quickly intervened, which out of his personal acquired 1.5HP Submissive Water Pump bought for his personal use planned to gave it out to the school to save the situation.

Truly, he went for the pump and as Electrical Engineer connected it and immediately restored water supply to the kitchen.

The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms. She started her basic education at Solomon Bennet Memorial School in Sunyani from her infancy.  Priscilla's family and well-wishers are appealing to the government as a matter of urgency to help ensure the right course of study will be offer to her at her tertiary education level.
