Blocks Moulding Standard Code Set By the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) For Block Manufactures. 

In life, shelter is one of the basic necessity for every human being thus why a standard has been set by Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) to guide sand crete block manufacturers and  building construction entities when making blocks for building purposes.

According to the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), every sandcrete blocks that we produce should be made of three kinds of raw materials that is, the cement, sand and water. 

The sand according to the authority should be the kind of sea sand, river sand and pit sand but quarry dust can also be added to the other sand when the sand is too refine to be used to mould the blocks.

Mr. Samuel K. Frimpong, the Acting Director for the (GSA) mention that, a right proportion of materials that Ghana Standard Authority has been set for block manufacturers.

 The strength of the sandcrete block depends largely on the proportion of raw materials being used.

The economic mixture ratio recommended for blocks that is cement to sand ratio for solid block is 1:6, that is one cement for 6 blocks and the recommended cement to sand ratio for hollow block is about 1:5, that is one cement for 5 hollow blocks.

Mr Samuel K. Frimpong, made this statement when Ghana standard Authority organized a day workshop for sandcrete block manufacturers in Sunyani, the Bono Reginal capital.

The Bono Regional Director of Ghana Standards Authority, Madam Xaviera Tawiah also added that, Ghana Standards Authority is orgabising the workshop to create the awareness of block manufactures to understand the code of standaed set for sandcrete block manufacturers to produces quality standard blocks for construction work especially for the housing and industrial use. 

Some of the participate of sandcrete block manufacturers expressed their appreciation to the Ghana Standard Authorith for the education and said that, they are going to use the set standards by standards authority to produce quality blocks for construction.

The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms.
