Techiman and Offuman Market Yam Sellers Bemoan of Low Patronage. 

Rain, the only source of energy crops depends on and the countless rainfall in this year farming season has attribute  to a high yield of crops including yam has lead to abundant of food crops at various markets especialy at Offuman in the Teachiman North District of the Bono East Region of Ghana.


The yams sellers at Techiman market and Offuman are complaining over low patronage of plenty of yams that has been harvested this year for sale in the market and according to the traders, their headache is that, they are not getting buyers for the yams which has been produced resulted into damage of yams.


Some of the Yam traders also attributed the low patronage of their yams to frequent increase of petrol and  gas prices that has led to low patronage  of  yams in the market .

Speaking to the market Yams Queen Mother, Nana Afosaa also added that, Offuman yam market is one of the Yam market that produce massive yams across  Ghana and beyond but  are facing challenges over poor road  network which are making the farmers suffer before they bring their yams to the  market.


Nana Afosaa added that, Offuman yams market is also needs to be renovated to attract more marketers because is very small which she  appealed to Teachiman North  DCE to come into their aid to provide them with  a bigger space so to sell their yams.


Lastly, she also   appealed to other yam buyers to come and patronize their yams since there is an abundant of yam in the town.


Other yam sellers at the Offuman market also appealed to the government to construct their poor  road network linking  Offuman to Wenchi and Kintampo that has attributed to the low patronage of yams in the town.

The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms.
