Komenda Sugar Development Company Limited Produces First Ever Sugar After 6 Years of Closure. 

The Komenda Sugar Development Company Limited (KSDCL) in the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem Muncipality of the Central Region has started it's first operation of fine sugar. 


The Company which was built by the NDC but couldn't produce any sugar as at that time but by the timely intervention of the NPP government to revamp the factory, it has produced currently 200 bags of sugar for the first day of production on Wednesday 10th August 2022,

The factory was closed since 2016 but under the President Nana Akufo Addo one-district-one factory initiative, the factory has started it's operations of processing sugar to meet the demand of the economy.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms.
