Berekum Traditional Council Fixed Date for the One-Week Observation of the Late Paramount Chief of Berekum, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II. The Berekum Traditional Council has declared a fixed date for the one-week observation of the late Omanhene of the Berekum Traditional Area in the Bono Region of Ghana, Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II. The traditional authorities said the one-week observation will be held on Friday 14th July, 2023 and until the one week will be over, the solemn traditional observation of banning drums and noise making still continues after the one-week. The traditional authorities has informed the people of Berekum to bear with the leaders until all the necessary traditional arrangements are made to lift the ban on drumming and noise-making after the one-week celebration of the late chief. Sunyani East MP cuts Sod for a Fifa-Standard Pitch. The Member of Parliament of the Sunyani East Constituency, Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh together with his Municipal Chief Executive of the Area, Hon. Ansu Kumi on Monday 19th June 2023, cut sod for the construction of the first Fifa-standard astroturf pitch and ancillary facilities at Penkwasi “Sakora Park” in the Sunyani East Constituency which is expected to be completed within six months.  The project, according to the contractor, Wembley Sports Construction CO. LTD encapsulates a standard football pitch, 500 seated stands, a VIP seating area, a changing room and a floodlighting system. He again stressed that, before 2017, the entire country could only boast of 2 astroturfs belonging to individuals, however, the NPP government has so far constructed some 128 of the pitches across the country, a feed he indicated is a milestone for sports in Africa. Krotihene of Amanase Pledges Support for Developmental Projects in the Community. The Krotihene of Amanase, Nana Anobaah Nyateh, has pledged his support for developmental projects in his area.  Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, during the Akwasidae in Amanase Palace in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region, Nana Nyateh urged residents to come together and help him lobby for more development.
