A REPRODUCTIVE health Non- Governmental Organization, Alliance for Reproductive  Health Right as part of its activities to promote healthy reproductive health among Ghanaian women and girls have trained journalists from Bono and Bono East regions on issues that affect reproductive health rights of girls in ghanaian societies in Techiman.  The journalists were taken through  statistics that showed worrying trend of increasing teenage progrenamcy among junior high school students and SHS girls.  They discussed sexual based violence against women and girls and its effects of sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV and AIDS. Jomoro MP, MCE meet Communications Minister over network connectivity challenges. The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has led the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jomoro, Benedict Boadi, to meet with the Minister for Communication, Samuel Nartey George, to discuss the status of network poles mounted in several communities across the municipality. The meeting, held earlier today, focused on addressing challenges surrounding the existing network poles and accelerating efforts to improve telecommunications infrastructure and expand network coverage in the affected communities. The communities whose network infrastructure was discussed include Ellenda, Nuba, Ellonyi, Twenen, Ebonloa, New Kabenlasuazo, Adusuazo, Twearkor No. 2, Jaway and Mpaesem. The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has welcomed the signing of the Phase Two agreement for Ghana’s US$28 billion Petroleum Hub project. The MP, who is also the Deputy Transport Minister described the development as a significant opportunity to transform the local economy and create sustainable opportunities for residents of the constituency. Madam Affo-Toffey joined the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, the Western Regional Minister, the leadership and board of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), and traditional authorities from Jomoro and the wider Nzema area for the signing ceremony.
