SUSPECTED DRUG KINGPIN ARRESTED IN BEREKUM FOR UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF NARCOTIC DRUGS. 1. The Berekum Divisional Police Command has arrested one kingpin, 39-year-old David Frimpong for Possession of Narcotic Drugs without Lawful Authority at Nyamebekyere , a suburb, in Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region.  2. An Intelligence-led operation , led to the arrest of the suspect at his residence in a semi-completed house. He attempted to escape upon seeing the Police.  A search conducted uncovered 57 compressed slabs of dried leaves, 195 wraps of dried leaves, 3 sacks of quantities of dried leaves all suspected to be indian hemp. A container of 'groundnut cake' toffee suspected to be mixed with indian hemp, 6 pairs of scissors, 14 pack of cigarettes and 190 wrapping papers were found in the house. First Lady condemns baby theft at Mamprobi polyclinic ; commends swift recovery.  The Office of the First Lady is relieved that the stolen baby from the Mamprobi Polyclinic has been safely recovered and reunited with her biological mother and family. Her Excellency, the First Lady, commends the Ghana Police Service for their swift and professional response in apprehending the suspect and ensuring the safe return of the baby to her family.  While we empathise deeply with women and families facing challenges with conception , desperation must never be allowed to lead to such unconscionable acts. We further urge medical facilities and maternity homes to implement stringent security measures to adequately protect newborns and their mothers while under their care.
